Description

The Erasmus MC Modificatie van de (revised) Nottingham Sensory Assessment (EmNSA) is a tool that evaluates various sensory functions through a set of tests. These include:

Touch: Evaluates the individual’s ability to perceive simple and complex tactile sensations in different parts of the body.
Pressure: Assesses the perception of pressure applied to the skin through varying degrees of force.
Differentiation: Tests the individual’s ability to distinguish between different types of stimuli, such as between sharp and blunt objects.
Kinesthesia: Evaluates the perception of limb position and movement.
Temperature: Assesses the perception of temperature, typically using warm and cold stimuli.
Object Recognition: Evaluates the ability to recognize objects through touch without visual input.

Analysis

The analysis of EmNSA results is based on the scores obtained from the various tests:
