The Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II-52) is a widely used self-report instrument designed to assess health-promoting behaviors and lifestyle practices that contribute to overall health, well-being, and disease prevention. Developed within Pender’s Health Promotion Model, the questionnaire evaluates the frequency with which individuals engage in behaviors that support physical, psychological, and social health.
The HPLP-II-52 measures six major dimensions of a health-promoting lifestyle:
