Description

The Personal Capacities Questionnaire (PCQ) is designed to assess an individual’s personal strengths and capabilities that contribute to effective functioning and well-being across different areas of life.

The questionnaire addresses capacities such as self-confidence, resilience, self-regulation, creativity, communication, and empathy.

Purpose

The PCQ aims to identify individual differences in personal strengths and skills. Its results can support personal and professional development and contribute to the study of psychological and emotional well-being.

Scoring and Data Analysis

Items are typically rated on a 5-point Likert scale, ranging from 1 (“strongly disagree”) to 5 (“strongly agree”).

Data analysis may include descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlations, and group comparisons. Interpretation should follow the scoring specifications of the particular version used.

Applications

The PCQ can be applied in positive and organizational psychology, education, counseling, and personal development research, particularly when examining relationships between personal capacities, performance, and well-being.
